Retirement Plan Services (RPS) sponsors the 401(k) Employee Retirement Plan. This is a retirement plan that Employers of any size can join to receive the same advantages of features and pricing that larger plans have been enjoying. Our members range from 1 employee to 1,000's of employees. There is no minimum number of participants or contribution amount required.
As a Member, you will receive the benefits of reduced liability regarding the retirement plan. RPS has a professional corporate Trustee to help oversee the plan. RPS has also engaged a 3(38) and 3(21) Investment Fiduciary to regularly review our plan and ensure that the funds provided remain competitive, the fees remain low and investment advice is available to any participant who wishes to utilize it.
The Administrative responsibilities of our members are greatly reduced. Our Members are responsible for submitting their payroll deduction file and completing their annual census request. Each Member is covered by our annual Form 5500 Reporting. For employers with 100 employees or more, that means an annual audit by an independent CPA may no longer be required for your individual plan, saving $1,000's annually.
RPS reviews the current providers we have engaged to service the 401K ERP on a regular basis to ensure that the pricing and features available to Members remain as competitive as possible. As a Member you can rest assured that pricing, funds available, and features available will remain competitive as the 401(k) industry evolves.
All of our Members pay an annual membership fee of $500 to participate in our plan. Any other costs are born by the people who use the plan. There are no additional separate costs to the Employer for annual administration and testing, IRS document updates and restatements, or Form 5500 preparation and submission. The Employer will pay only $500 per year.
If you have a current investment advisor helping you locally, you may wish to continue to utilize their expertise. It is possible to continue to allow them to help your company with the plan. We have several advisors who have implemented our plan and remain the investment advisor working in conjunction with the 3(38) fiduciary to service an individual Employer.
